Famous Bets in the Game of Roulette

Roulette is one type of a game being played in casinos and gambling facilities. The term "roulette" is derived from the French word that refers to a small wheel. This is one of the famous casino games wherein the player has the opportunity to place various kinds of bets.

There are actually two kinds of betting, namely, the inside bet and the outside bet. When we say inside bets, the player will guess where the ball will land in by selecting the number of the pocket or choosing a range of pockets according to their position. When we say outside bets, this means that the player will place bets on different positional groupings of pocket colors or pockets. It does not matter whether the number is even or odd.

There are five kinds of inside bets that a roulette player can use. A straight bet refers to only one number wherein the chip is positioned on a single number square. When we say a split bet, the player places a bet on two numbers that are adjoined either vertical or horizontal. There is also what we call a street bet, which refers to a bet on three numbers that are positioned on a horizontal line. The corner bet is also known as the square bet. In here, the player places a bet on four numbers that are positioned in a square layout. The sixline bet is also known as the sixaine bet. In here, the bet is placed on two streets that are adjoined.

When placing outside bets, the roulette player must remember that there are three kinds of bets that may be used in the game of roulette. One of those bets is the Even Money Bets, wherein a bet must be placed by the player on 18 numbers. The two other kinds of outer bets is called the Group Bets and the Column Bets.
